The updates are based primarily on comments from Colin Perkins, see
http://www1.ietf.org/mail-archive/web/avt/current/msg06257.html.

The main changes include the following:

1. Updated terminology Section 2.
2. Revised and expanded introductory material in Section 3 'Header
Compression over MPLS Protocol Overview' for clarity.
3. Revised and expanded Section 4 'Protocol Specifications' for clarity.
4. Provided a complete worked example in Section 5 of pseudowire setup
and header compression negotiation.

Once again, please review and comment on the updated draft.

The new text helps significantly - the draft is now a lot more readable, and the details seem better specified. Some minor comments:

1) I found the 2nd paragraph of section 4 to be less than clearly phrased. Perhaps "Many HC flows (maybe several hundred, depending on the environment) should share a single PW label, rather than assigning a different PW label to each flow"?

2) There seems very little mention of HC data packets. I'd like to see more detail in the example and in the text explaining how the actual header compressed data is encapsulated.

3) The security considerations section should perhaps also point to the security considerations of the HC protocols too?

4) What are the procedures for registering new header compression types with IANA? If the [IANA] draft covers this, then section 8 needs to include a statement to the effect that details are there. Otherwise, section 8 should give guidance to IANA.
