How about the requirements for this new functionality don't make 
sense in DHCP.  Is that a good enough reason?

Do I deny these requirements exist, or turn to a protocol that 
fulfills the requirements, or do I do what you're suggesting and 
force-fit this functionality into DHCP?

What would you do?
