The IESG has approved the following document:

- 'RFC 1888 is obsolete '
   <draft-carpenter-obsolete-1888-01.txt> as an Informational RFC

This document has been reviewed in the IETF but is not the product of an
IETF Working Group. 

The IESG contact person is Margaret Wasserman.

Technical Summary
 
This document recommends that the status of RFC 1888 should be changed
to Historic.  One of the mappings described in the document is unused,
and the other is technically flawed.

Last Call.
