Technical Summary
This specification extends the negotiation capabilities
related to IP header compression over PPP links.
Working Group Summary
The specification is not a product of an IETF Working
Group. It has been discussed in PPPEXT WG, where the
motivation for an extension like this was questioned.
Protocol Quality
Jari Arkko has reviewed this specification for the IESG.
Opinions were solicited from the PPPEXT WG chair (James
Carlson) and responsible AD (Mark Townsley) in preparing
the IESG response.

The IESG believes that note #4 from RFC 3932 applies:
The IESG thinks that this document violates IETF procedures for
IP Header Compression Configuration Option Suboption Types
allocation defined in RFC 3544 and should therefore not be
published without IETF review and IESG approval.
