And pointless. The only ones that should ever get on an agenda are ones supported by an implementation report (for DS), a deployment report (for STD) or a disuse report (for Historic).

I agree. Personally, I would favor a short update to RFC 2026 to remove this responsibility from the IESG. In the meantime, I am not personally bothered by the fact that the IESG is ignoring this responsibility.
